True Mountain Foundation is a charitable organization committed to revolutionizing addiction recovery through long-term, evidence-based care.

, our mission is to ensure everyone has access to the 90-day minimum treatment proven to maximize success.
Our goal: raise a $300 million endowment to construct the substance abuse recovery centers, as well as subsidize treatment costs—so no one is turned away for lack of funds.

About Our Founder
After facing years of personal struggle with addiction, Jeff Cotton began his path to sobriety. His journey from addiction to recovery inspired him to create a system that breaks barriers to high-quality treatment. Today, Jeff leads this foundation that empowers others to reclaim their lives—one step at a time.
Expansion Plans
Our first facility is being established in Memphis, Tennessee, and will serve as the foundation of a nationwide initiative. The next planned site is in Dalton, Georgia, with future facilities to follow across the country.
Each location will offer our signature 90-day inpatient care model, combining medical detox, therapeutic services, holistic wellness, and long-term support. Through continued fundraising and partnerships, we are committed to scaling this life-saving model and making a national impact in the field of addiction recovery.
The Importance of a 90-Day Stay
Research and clinical outcomes consistently show that recovery programs lasting 90 days or more are significantly more effective than shorter stays. A 30-day or even 60-day program often only provides enough time to stabilize a patient without fully addressing the underlying causes of addiction.
- While the full contribution is eligible for a full deduction, whether or not the full deduction can be taken depends on the situation of the individual taxpayer.
A 90-day program allows for comprehensive care—including detox, therapy, skill-building, and relapse prevention—and enables individuals to begin truly healing and rebuilding their lives. This longer duration provides the foundation for sustainable recovery and dramatically reduces the risk of relapse.
